Charges Placed Against Suspect In Home Invasion Spree
Charges have been issued against a Lawrenceburg man suspected of committing a spree of home invasions, burglaries, and thefts during the Month of April.
A press release from the Lawrenceburg Police Department indicates that Andrew Louis Calhoun, age 28, was arrested on charges of burglary, theft over $1,000 and vandalism on Tuesday.
The arrest stemmed from a home burglary reported by a resident of Evans Drive a few days prior.
According to the press release the culprit pried open a door to the home while the homeowner slept. Agents allege that Calhoun stole property valued at $2,000 before fleeing from the premises.
Calhoun was incarcerated at the Lawrence County Detention Center in lieu of a $70,000 bond.
Authorities indicate that additional charges are being sought against Calhoun in connection with three other home invasion incidents that occurred between April 22 and April 25.
Investigators will present evidence in the cases during an upcoming session of the Lawrence County Grand Jury.
